I finally got to go to the beach this weekend. I have not been in the sun since it has come out (except for weeding my yard). So Brett took me and the girls to Coeur d' Alene on saturday to have some fun. The water was pretty freezing, but all I was really concerned about was laying out and getting tan. So here are some pics.

Little Miss Suzy Homemaker
Well, that is what I felt like this afternoon. I came home from church and decided that it would be a great idea to make some homemade bread. Now, I don't have a bread maker and I have never made bread before, so it was definitely an interseting experience. I thought I did ok until I called Gloria afterwards to ask her if I did everything ok and she mentioned that I am was supposed to knead the dough for about 10 minutes....um, definitely did not do that. Oh well, it still turned out ok. Kyra had a lot of fun helping me and even decided to make her own little loaf (which really looked like a roll). Of course we got into a little bit of a flour fight, but it was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with the girls.
Me and my beautiful first loaf of homemade bread. This picture will have to be scrapbooked.
Kyra's little loaf
So then after the bread was made I decided to get a little crafty. Brett has been asking me to make a Family Home Evening chart for a while no w. See it is pretty much impossible to get Kyra to do anything that is involved with FHE, so we have the idea that if her name is put on a little hook that says she is in charge of that responsibility, then she will be a tiny bit more apt do it. We will see. I can't wait to put a couple more names on those hooks!

Can I Get a Serious Picture Please
Date Night
I know Jen already posted about this, but I wanted to share my pics too. Jen, Joel, Brett, and I went mini golfing a couple of weekends ago and it was so much fun. Brett loves hanging out with Jen and Joel, and that makes me so happy because Jen is one of my best friends. I love her so much. So we all went on a double date and enjoyed every minute of it (even when I hit my ball into the rocks and it took me 11 tries to get it into the hole). Anyway, here are some pics.
My Wonderful Family
I feel so bad I didn't even blog about my wonderful mother for mother's day, and my amazing sister for her birthday. Kimberly's birthday landed on mother's day this year, so everyone came over to our house for a family dinner. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family so close to me. There are so many things I love about them. Kimberly is such an amazing person. She is going to be the best mom in the world. She has a special love for children that I haven't seen in anyone else. And she is a great entertainer. Whenever she throws a dinner party it is absolutely amazing. She is a kind and very thoughtful person. I love her so much and am grateful for her as a best friend and sister.
As I get older I feel like my mother is more and more my best friend. I can talk to her about anything. One thing I love about her is that she will support us in anything we choose. The kids in our family have all taken very different paths, and my mom supports and loves each of them just the same. I couldn't ask for a better mother. I love you mama.

No Rest for the Weary
The sun is starting to shine, the flowers have been budding, and that means that it is time for me to get out in my yard and do some work. When we bought this house it was winter time, so we didn't get to see the absolute mess of a yard that was outside our house. Last year I attempted to do a vegetable garden and it turned out ok, but this year we are putting a lot more work into the yard. Gloria came over two weeks ago and gave me good advise on what I need to do with my very ugly back yard to make it look a little descent. So now our Saturdays are spent slaving away in our yard. Maybe one day it will turn in to something we can be proud of.
There have been alot of infected and dead roots that we have had to pull out of our gardens. This was part of a rose bush mixed with the start of an elm tree. I know I have some really exciting pictures!
Brett, proud of his hard work.

Jen told me how to do a square foot garden this year so I am trying it out. This is the very start of my garden. I'll post updates as my vegetables start growing. I am already seeing the cucumbers and pumpkins starting to pop up.
So this is right by our garage. Now I wish I had taken before and after pictures because the side of our garage was a dump. It was full of weeds and old wood. Then Gloria comes over and makes a garden out of it. We didn't even know we had a sidewalk there because it was covered with grass and weeds. But Gloria dug one up for us. I love my mother in law.
Getting our Saturday's Back!
For the first couple months of Fall and Spring our Saturday's are spent at the soccer field watching Kyra and Makenna's games. It has been so fun to see them grow in this sport. Makenna is leaps and bounds better. And Kyra is just a rock star. She is an amazing offensive player. It will be fun to see her in high school. So now the season is over and even though I like watching them play, I am so happy to have my Saturdays back. Here are a couple pictures of their last soccer games.

The Happiest Place on Earth
So last week the Fromm Family took an adventure to the great state of California. Of course we tried to do this trip as cheap as we could, so we decided to drive down. Yeah, it is a little crazy, but it was fun. We were actually able to do a lot of things because we drove. We spent some time at the Redwood Forrest, spent a day at Venic Beach, saw my wonderful and very missed best friend Jen Martin (Jolley), went to Magic Mountain, and spent a day in San Francisco. Of course the biggest point of us going on this trip was to go to DISNEYLAND! Here are all the pictures of our wonderful trip.
Here is San Francisco. I planned for us to spend a lot of time at Peir 39, but it was pouring down rain ALL DAY LONG. Were able to get outside for a little while, but we didn't have an umbrella so we also spent a lot of time driving around. The city was amazing to me. I could never live in a city with that many hills. I just kept thinking, "What do the runners do. I would be able to last one hill and be done." But it was pretty cool to see. Then later that night we went to a Giants game (still in the rain). Brett is a huge fan, and I thought it was pretty cool to be at a major league game. Here is Disneyland. We were there for two days. The first day Jimmy and his friend Justin met us there. We all had so much fun. I think our favorite ride was Splash Mountain. We rode it so many times. It was fun but it was also so tiring. Each day we were completely done by like 7:30.
Venice Beach. I remember going here when I was younger, so I thought the girls might like it. Makenna absolutely loved the ocean. She kept running back and forth chasing the waves. It was so cute. Kyra really liked all the shops. She also spent a lot of time collecting sea shells. This definitely wasn't Brett's facorite part of the trip, but it was a good break for him to get out of the car.
