Brett and I decided that since the girls did such a great job in school this year and because they are such great kids, we needed to rewared them in some way. So we looked on craigslist for about a month, until last Monday when we found one! The girls knew they were getting a suprise but they didn't know what it was. So it was really exciting when they came home today. We probably jumped on in it for about 3 hours tonight. Hopefully this will keep the girls busy enough this summer.

This past weekend to celebrate Father's Day we went out to dinner at the Olive Garden with my family. My dad has always been a very hard working person who wanted to please his family. He would always try his best to provide us with whatever we wanted or needed. He is always willing to help, no matter what the situation is. And he is the best scout master you will ever meet. I love him very much!
Then on Sunday we had a small family celebration with Brett. Brett is a lot of many different things, but the thing I love about him most is how good of a dad he is. He has taught me so much about being a parent. He is patient, thoughtful, understanding, and so many more things. The girls absolutely love him so much and for good reason. After church we ran home to make him a banner and wrap presents, then we ate a fabulous dinner, and I let him play golf a lot of the day (I think he liked this best). He had a great day.

Well ok, I am a proud step parent (it still feels wierd saying that). I just wanted to write about how wonderful Kyra and Makenna are. We just went to Kyra's honor roll assembly where we found out she go straight A's all year long. And she won an award for trustworthiness (that makes a total of three for her). She is such a great student and great girl.I also got to go to Makenna's gymnastic performance tonight and she did a great job. She has been in gymnastics for about a year now and has made a lot of progress. It has been so great to be here as these girls grow into great young women. I am so very proud of both of them.

My last day of with my wonderful Kindergarten classes was this Friday and now I am so very sad. It has been an amazing year with these two groups. It is great to see how much they grow through out the year, and it is also amazing how much I learned this year. Although I am very excited to have a break this summer, I will really miss all of these kids. As of right now, I do not have a job for next year, but I am pretty confident that something will come up. I just hope that it is in a Kindergarten classroom instead of 5th grade. But we will just have to wait and see!
