I swore that when I had a baby I would make sure to blog about other things besides my baby. But here is the thing...I don't really do much. He's pretty much the only thing going on in my life right now, so that is what you get to hear about.

Jaxon has taken a turn for the better. We have a lot of fun together all day long doing things like going to the gym, reading books, playing with toys, and singing songs.

We always try to get together with his best friend Brayden as much as possible. Too bad he lives so far away so they can't play more :(

Jaxon and daddy are always watching BYU basketball or the Kings (because that is the team Jimmer plays for).

Jaxon LOVES the water and taking baths. He has already grown out of his baby bath tub. Sometimes I take him to the YMCA to float in their heated pool.

He finally started to do ok in the car, so now we get to go run a lot more errands.

We have tried to give him rice cereal a couple of times. But then learned shortly after as he was puking the rest of the day that his little tummy just can't handle it yet.

And he doesn't really like the taste anyway.

He's a regular church goer and looks pretty snazzy every Sunday. Of course we have 1:00 church so it completely throws him off schedule and it takes us a couple days for things to get back to normal for him.

Overall he is a super cute boy who smiles and laughs a lot. If we could only figure out how to get him to sleep our life would be perfect!

Nertz

Hey college friends, remember when the only thing we would do for like a whole year was sit around and play Nutz (nertz)? Well I spent all weekend playing this at Brett's house with his family and I can't believe how much I missed it. We were all so good at that game, and so competitive. I think we should get together again and have nutz parties! By the way, I trashed everyone when I was playing this weekend. Maybe that is why is was so fun for me!

Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas day. It started very early in the morning opening presents, then off to a great sacrament meeting. I made a new breakfast (overnight french toast), then spent the rest of the day lounging around watching church movies and playing with new presents.

You know Kyra, always excited to take a picture, especially at 6:00 in the morning!

For Christmas this year Makenna said she didn't really want anything. Then she said, "Well maybe BYU things." So Brett and I got her a lot of BYU things. She absolutely loved all of them.

Brett got me this nice canvas picture of the family.

I let the young women borrow my sewing maching for a project. When I got it back I was only able to use one stictch. I don't know what they did to it, but Brett made it better by buying me a new sewing machine. SO excited!

Kenna is wearing some jammies that I made her. I only did a couple homemade things this year and they all turned out great!

We had such a fun Christmas Eve with my family at Kim's house. We enjoyed delicious food and had a fun time exchanging gifts with each other. You could tell all the ladies in the family were inspired by pinterest this year because there were a lot of homemade gifts.

I can't even explain how much love I have for this little guy. I'm not going to lie, the first 3 1/2 months were really hard with him. But it has been amazing to watch him grow and learn. He is a little over 4 months now and growing into a completely adorable little boy. He is smiling and laughing a lot. Right now he loves trying to shove his whole fist into his mouth. He is just learning how to grab things and that had been really fun to watch. He is still not sleeping very good, but it has gotten better. We have gone from waking up every hour, to waking up every 2-3 hours! I just can't get enough of this little ball of cuteness!

Kim came over yesterday so of course we dressed the boys in the same outfits and did a little photo shoot. Unfortunately, niether of us could get the babies to cooperate. But I still think it's pretty cute!

Also, Jaxon is finally doing a good job at tummy time and lifting his head pretty high. This is the first picture I have been able to take of him like this.

This year my family and Brett's parents came over to our house for Thanksgiving. We had a great time and enjoyed delicious food. It is absolutely one of my favorite things to be around my family. I love them so much and am so grateful for them in my life. I feel like I have so much to be grateful for. I will list just a couple: My health, my family, our jobs, our house, the gospel, Jesus Christ who atoned for my sins, the chance to stay home with my baby for a year, my wonderful husband, my friends, and the list can go on!

A Visit From My Sis

Mel was able to visit us for a week with her new baby, Georgia. It was so nice to be all together as a family again, and also to get all three babies together. Here are some photos from the week.

What's Been Happening

I am putting a lot of posts into one to let you know what has been going on with the Fromm's.

Makenna celebrated her birthday this past weekend with a slumber party at our house. Her birthday is really Oct. 22, this is just when we could fit her party in. Makenna is such an amazing girl. She definitely keeps us doing good and is such a great example to everyone around her. She is a great big sister for Jaxon as well. We love her so much.

For her party the girls did some crafts then went swimming at the YMCA. These are the only pictures I took all night though :(

Jaxon has been growing like crazy! He had his first halloween, which we really didn't do anything for. But he did dress up for the trunk or treat. And he was able to show off his pumpkin onsie when we hung out with my mom and sister.

I love these pictures of Jaxon and Brayden together. They were so funny when we were trying to take their picture.

So I love my little boy so much, but he is kind of a fuss pot. We thought that i would go away at one month, then maybe at two months, and then finally I had enough so we took him back to the Dr. I took him to a chiropractor to make sure he wasn't in any pain, I tried that gripe water stuff, and nothing was really working. So the Dr. told us that he most likely was just colic and we just get to wait until he grows out of it. Yay for us! I just thought these pictures were cute of Brett and Jaxon when we were at the doctor's office.

Every time I see this picture I can't stop laughing.

I have learned that he actually loves sitting in his crib and watching his mobile. This keeps him happy for at least 5 minutes. So if I ever need to keep him occupied for a second, this is where he goes.

Lastly, we finally decided to get a new roof on our house. I know what you are thinking, this roof with black spray paint on it looks so good though. Well this roof has been leaky since we moved in almost 4 years ago. About a month ago Brett decided to buy some spray seal stuff. Well it kind of worked but our roof looks absolutely disgusting. So the construction has started this week which has made my house a very noisy place to be. But I am super excited to show you the after pictures of a NEW roof soon!

On Monday my sisters, mom, and aunt met me at Greenbluff for a little fall fun. We ate some delicious food and walked around a little bit. It was pretty cold though, so we didn't stay out for too long. This is one great thing about staying home from work is that I get to do fun things with my family during the week!

I love my church so much. I feel so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that this gospel has blessed my life in so many ways. I believe in the leaders of this church. I just wanted to share a couple of great things about my church. This video is from one of the leaders of the church and has helped me realize how much Heavenly Father loves me and how important my role as a mother is.

Also, my church is doing a some really cool adevertisements in certain cities in the U.S. The videos show the lives of real LDS families. They are pretty fun to watch. Go to mormon.org to read some profiles and watch some great clips of LDS people.

A Special Trip

Brett amd I decided a couple years ago that when the girls turn twelve it would be fun to take them on a special daddy daughter trip down to conference. Well this year it was Makenna's turn. She turns 12 this October, so she and Brett took a road trip down to Utah. Makenna was in heaven the entire time. Any time I called them she was so excited and in the best mood. They were able to go to a football game, walk around temple square, shop at the BYU bookstore, and attend a couple sessions of confrence. I am glad the girls got this experience with their dad.

Blessing Day

This Sunday Jaxon got his blessing at church. We were blessed to have many friends and my family there. Brett did a great job with the blessing. Afterwards we all went over to our house to celebrate September birthdays. It was actually Ben's birthday (Kim's husband) that day. We all had so much fun!

A Trip To Leavenworth

Brett's brother just got back from Kuwait (I think that's where he was) and his family was visiting Leavenworth before moving to Guam. We haven't seen them in over three years, so we decided to head over for the weekend. We had so much fun hanging out with their family and of course I always love seeing Gloria and Pat (Brett's parents).

While we were there Kyra had her birthday. We didn't get to do anything too special but she loved seeing all of her cousins and spending time with them. This is her opening presents with Audrey.

Today we went to Walter's Fruit Ranch to pick some delicious peaches. Kim, Ben, and my mom came with us and we had a great time. After we got done at the ranch we decided to head downtown for pig out in the park. It was such a fun day to spend with family and relax while eating some delicious food!

The Whole Story

I finally figured out how to get these pictures on my blog. So here is the story of my sweet Jaxon. I started having contractions around 9:00 Saturday morning. I didn't think much of it because I have had contractions like this before and they didn't last more than a couple of hours. But I decided to start keep track of how far apart they were. It started out about 10-15 minutes apart. Then they started getting more intense, so I called my friend Jen and asked if I should go to the hospital. She suggested I should. It was probably around 10:15 at this point. When I told Brett he got so excited. It was so fun to see him like this. He was jumping around all over the place and asking me what he should pack and what he needed to do. When I got up to get ready the contractions got really intense and were really close together. I could barley stand for more than two minutes. So finally we get in the car (which took forever because I couldn't walk very well) and went up to the hospital. Once we got to the hospital I felt like I was going to die! I just kept thinking, "Why didn't we come earlier?" I was so nervous that I wasn't going to be able to get an epidermal. But we make it to the front entrance and none is at the desk. I started to have a contraction, so I am laying on the floor by the front door screaming and moaning and Brett is running around trying to find a wheelchair. Finally a lady from the gift shop came out with one. So Brett puts me in it and takes me to the elevator and we get on then about 5 people start walking on as slowly as possible while I am sitting there screaming in the middle. Brett got so frustrated! He was like, " OK guys this is not a party, she is in labor here." But we finally got to the floor and in a room. The nurse was so great. She ordered an epidermal right away. She checked me and found that I was 5cm. So the epidermal guy came about 15 minutes later and I just remember saying the whole time "Thank you for being so fast," over and over. I could not have imagined going through that much pain for much longer! But he was so fast. It took him probably less than 5 minutes from start to finish and didn't hurt at all. After that the whole experience was AMAZING. I am so glad that I got to go into labor naturally and experience that. But I also wish that I would have known to go to the hospital a little earlier.

Soon after, Kim, Ben, my Aunt Cheryl, and Whitney came over. We just kind of hung out and talked for a while. The nurse came in around 4 :00 to check me and found that I was complete and ready to push. Dr. Hardy came in and had me push once but then decided to go do a C-section real fast. So then I really didn't start pushing until about 4:30. Dr. Hardy came in right around 5:00 and gave Brett some pretty specific directions on how to deliver. A couple pushes later Jaxon was out and doing well. It was pretty amazing and I was in disbelief for a while, but also felt so extremely happy.

Oh, some of you might be thinking, "Where were the girls when all this happened?" Well their lovely mother decided to plan a 4 day camping trip on the weekend that I was due. How convenient, huh!

Things at home have been amazing. I just love sitting and holding him and looking at him. I don't even mind waking up at night because i just get to look at him the whole time. I still am going to miss my job so incredibly much, but Jaxon makes it all worth it.

My Sweet Baby

I am so in love with this sweet little boy! Jaxon Jimmer Fromm came to us on Saturday, August 20th at 5:06 pm. He weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and was 20.5 in long. Everything went as smoothly as it could and I was blessed to have amazing family and friends around to enjoy it with us.

For some reason I can't upload his birth pictures, so I will try that later along with some more details of his birth. But I have been enjoying every minute of being a new mom!

So I am a little over 38 weeks and am feeling great. I think the baby has dropped just enough that I don't feel that constant pain any more. So I am really liking these last couple weeks. However, I am also getting really anxious for the baby to come. Last week at my Dr. appt, they said I was 3.5 cm dialated, so I am hoping that I am at least 4 right now! I have an appt tomorrow and am really excited to find out my progression!

Makenna has been gone for almost two weeks now and we are missing her a lot. The first week she got to go to Camp Reed. She was so excited and sounded like she had a lot of fun. Now she is in Leavenworth visiting her cousins. I can't wait for her to be home next week!

Well being home for the summer has been nice in some ways and torture in some ways. I still make a list at the beginning of every day, but it is getting harder and harder to find things to go on that list. But there are a couple fun things going on.

Makenna and I have discovered that Bowl and Pitcher is a super fun place to go for hikes. She wants to go every Monday morning and I am loving it!

Brett's brother, Jimmy, has been staying with us for about a week and we love having him here. He is like Kenna's best friend. And you can see from the picture below that he and Brett have a ton of fun together as well.

I feel like these days you can't really see much difference in my growing belly. Really it is just big! I am finallly in the last month and am feeling very ready for this guy to come out. It really hasn't been too bad, but I am excited to not have the pain in my ribs and to sit without feeling uncomfortable, also to not have acid reflex that keeps me up all night. I have actually really loved being pregnant. It is going to be so weird to look down and not see that huge bump!

4th of July Weekend

I am so late on posting this because I lost my camera in Leavenworth for a bit. But thank goodness it was found. So for the 4th we went to Leavenworth and had a great and relaxing weekend. Here are som of our activities.

Makenna really wanted to visit the Gingerbread House while we were in town. It was super cute and smelled AMAZING!

We visited Annabelle's grave, as we always do when we go to Leavenworth. It was a nice family outing.

One morning we took Brett to the top of the mountains so he could do some mountain biking. Then Gloria and I went on a nice walk back to the house. It was amazingly beautiful at the top of the mountains.

Baby Shower

This weekend my wonderful sister Kimberly, my mom, and Aunt Cheryl threw me a baby shower. It was so much fun and they did an amazing job. It was great to see and hang out with friends and relax in the sun and hang out with family. I got a lot of amazing things which I am SO grateful for. Thanks guys for such a great day!

Makenna's Imagination

So Makenna still has a huge imagination (even though she is turning 12 this fall). She still believes in Santa Clause, the easter bunny, the tooth fairy ect., she still plays make believe with her stuffed animals, and she sometimes pretends that our house is a city in which Brett is the Mayor of. Do I think this is weird? YES! However, there is one benefit to this. She likes to play this game where she owns a spa shop. Here is how it works: I stop by the bathroom, tell her I want the usual, and she then gives me a foot massage, lef massage, hand massage, and arm massage. It is quite amazing actually. She always wants to do it on Sunday, since there is not much else to do at our house. So it is perfect for me to get relaxed and take a nap. So even though I think she needs to get out of this "play" stage, I am quite enjoying my free massages until she does.

I am Lame

I am lame because I never take belly pictures anymore. I just seem to always forget. So here I am at 33 weeks. Hopefully I will be more consistent within the next couple of weeks. We are slowly getting ready. Since I have been out of school I have been able to work on painting the room and organizing all the clothes and baby stuff I had piled up in my basement. It is getting pretty exciting.

PS..you may notice that I am not wearing a bra. That is because I don't have to any more since I don't have to go to school. I may be paying for it later, but right now it is so comfortable.

Happy Start of our Summer

To celebrate the girls getting out of school, Brett and I decided to take them to Silver Mountain to play at the water park. (Really, Brett was excited about this because it meant that he could do some great mountain biking all day long). It was pretty fun, but I don't think it was worth the money. I think I would have had more fun if I wasn't pregnant and could do more. The girls had a great time though.

So my summer started on Friday. I have honestly been dreading this day because it is not like I am going back in two months. I am taking a year off. I am a little worried about how I am going to handle being a stay at home wife and mother.

During the summer, I am a big list person. I love making lists and checking things off as soon as I get them done. So here was my list for Friday:

Clean our room
Deep clean the bathroom
Break down boxes on our back porch (about 4 months worth)

I love it when my day is filled with lists like this. I feel productive and like I am accomplishing so much. I am happy to say that I finished everything on my list, except for shopping for Brett. Now if I can just keep doing this every day I think I will be a pretty happy stay at home wife.

It has been a super busy time lately with school coming to an end. There is always so much to do to close out the school year. But this weekend I was able to take a little break and have my family over for a bbq. It was so much fun to have everyone over, and we even got to meet Whitney's new boyfriend! This is one busy girl. If she's not playing soccer, she's doing track. If it's not sports it is some kind of school event. She loves being real busy, but the bad thing is that it keeps us real busy too. I am excited for the summer time so thing will calm down a little bit.

A Special Day

Today our family got to celebrate a very special day. One year ago I delivered Annabelle Fromm and it was the best experience of my life. What seemed at first would be our biggest trial, Heavenly Father helped us to see how it could strengthen us and bring us closer to Him. We have learned much from what we went through and are extremely grateful for the chance to have a sweet daughter waiting for us in Heaven. We are so grateful for Heavenly Father's plan of eternal families!

What's Been Going On

Here are a couple of pictures of things that have been going on with the Fromms.

Our Saturday's have been filled with soccer games. Thank goodness the spring season only lasts about a month.

Kenna has been dying to mow the lawn herself for about two years now. Well, last weekend Brett finally agreed to let her do it. She liked it so much that she wants to mow the lawn every time she is over.

We took the girls ice blocking for a family activity. Of course I was the photographer because I didn't think it was safe for me to participate, but everyone had so much fun. Makenna was scared and screamed as loud as she could each run down.

Makenna participted in a mass concert with kids from every school in the district. She was very proud of herself and loved doing it. (Yes her sweater is buttoned up wrong...we are just that cool that we didn't notice).

Who knew that when you get pregnant that you get CONSTANT sharp pains in your ribs.
Who knew that when you get pregnant your fingers go numb for part of the day.
Who knew that when you get pregnant you would get the worst acne of your life.
Who knew that when you get pregnant you feel so fat and ugly and tired ALL the time.
Who knew that when you get pregnant you get a wierd rash all over your stomach that makes it look gross.

I thought I was supposed to be in the best part off my pregnancy (6 months) where I have energy and I am not too big that I am uncomfortable, but I was wrong. I kind of feel like a wimp but whatever. I am in too much pain and too uncomfortable all the time to care anymore.

However......feeling the baby move all day long is the best feeling in the world and completely makes up for any kind of bad feelings about myself and discomfort. I have to say, despite all of the above complaints I am so grateful to be pregnant and know that I have a baby coming our way in about 4 months!

Pregnancy Update

Well, a couple of weeks ago Brett and I found out the very exciting news that we will be having a healthy baby BOY! I would scan pictures, but am not quite sure how. I will just tell you that I was VERY clear that this baby is a boy. We are both extremely excited. Now the tough part is picking a name. I am trying to leave it up to Brett, but he isn't doing that good of a job.

Last weekend we decided to go down to Leavenworth to visit Brett's parents. We don't get to do this often because Brett never wants to miss church in our ward, but since it was conference weekend we decided to go for it. We had a lot of fun and relaxed a lot. Gloria made us some delicious meals, we were enlighted all weekend by our Prophet, Apostles, and General Authories, and we got to go out on a lot of walks. Here our a couple pictures from our weekend.

Why am I so lame.......

Because this was over a month ago and I never blogged about it. This was one of the most romantic things Brett has done for me and I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. The Davenport has been one of my favorite places for quite some time now. Every time you are there you feel so fancy and rich (even though we are no where close to any of those). It is also the place where we spent our wedding night so it has some sentimental value as well.

So for my birthday I told Brett that I really didn't need anything and I didn't really give him any ideas for presents. On my actual birthday he got me beautiful flowers and made breakfast for me, so I thought that was kind of it. Well that weekend he got home from work and said he wanted to go work out. So I packed my workout bag and we headed out. Well, instead of going to the gym, he took me to the Davenport. What a tricky guy huh! It was great. We walked downtown, went out to dinner, and snuggled in bed while watching a movie and eating snacks. What a great birthday.

Happy Family Anniversary

On Tuesday we celebrated our 3 year anniversary! This year we had the girls on our anniversary, so we decided to make it a family anniversary and celebrate our family being together for 3 years. We started our night by going out to eat then having some fun at Wonderland. The girls loved it and I think really appreciated that we included them in the celebration. I honestly feel so lucky not only to have Brett as my eternal companion, but to have these two AMAZING girls in my life. They are so great and loving to me and I now cannot image my life without them.

Unfortunately, Brett and I don't really have time at all this week to celebrate just the two of us. This weekend he is going camping with the boy scouts and as soon as he gets back I am taking Kyra to a Young Women's event. But it really was great to have a fun family night! I love my husband so incredibly much and find myself more and more in love with him each day!

We are so proud of this amazing girl. Last weekend we got to surprise her at the Fox Theater for the Chase Youth Middle School Awards. Her school called and let us know that she won a Chase Award for Group Leadership. So we brought her down to the Fox and she had no idea what was going on. Then she saw all of her teachers and some kids from school, so we let her know that she was one of the amazing girls who won an award. She is such a great 13 year old. I honestly could not ask for a better step daughter. Good job Kyra, I love you so much.

I Love To See The Temple

I feel so grateful that we have a temple here in Spokane to visit so often! The temple is such a wonderful way to grow closer to our Savior, feel the spirit, feel peaceful, and strengthen my testimony. The best thing about going is the amazing blessings that you get. I honestly think that we have been so truly blessed in our lives because of the temple. I hope that I will never forget the importance of the temple in our lives.

Yes, we are pregnant and I couldn't be more thrilled. Who Needs Romance Anyway

So Brett and I have not been able to get out much lately. Our dates have been consisting of sharing a meal from Panda Express (my favorite place to eat lately) then going home to snuggle in bed. Did I think that after only three years of marriage we would be so lame...not quite. But hey we are busy and tired. Well today we finally had a night to ourselves with absolutely nothing going on, so I decided to plan a nice date for us. I was very excited to finally go out on a nice date. I got home from work, put on some makeup, a new outfit, curled my hair, and put on some nice perfume.

I was going to take him out to dinner (to a real restaurant where we actually sit down and someone waits on us, which we never do) and while we were there I had this fun activity for us that would allow us to kind of remember all of the fun things in our relationship. Then I wanted to take him to our lookout spot to sit and talk, and then finally back home to cuddle and watch a movie (we don't spend money on movie theaters unless it's the Garland. I know we are so cheap).

It sounded like it was going to be a fantastically romantic night! Well, this is what happened instead. 5:30 rolls around and I am sitting on the couch waiting for Brett to come home. He calls and tells me he has to take care of some stuff for the Bishop (he is out of town for 3 weeks). So I wait a little longer...and longer...and longer. Finally, Brett comes home about 7:00. He picks me up and we get to run a couple more errands to do church stuff. Finally, around 7:30 we are done and headed to dinner! Yes, our romantic date can start. Except guess what is on Brett's mind the whole night... this issue he had to help Bishop with. He was on the phone the whole ride to the restaurant, and a little while we were in the restaurant. Did I break down a little bit in the restaurant...YES! I wasn't trying to be selfish, but I just wanted one romantic date with my husband.

Well I just have realized that our life is just nor meant for romance right now! Where is Brett while I am writing this post on what is supposed to be our romantic night together....Taking care of more church stuff.

The bottom line is.........I NEVER want Brett to be a bishop!

Just Call Me an HGTV Star!

That is what I felt like the past couple of weeks. I took on a lot of big projects and crafts for the girls christmas presents. It was definitely the most crafts I have ever done for christmas presents, and definitely the most stressful I have been in quite a while. I am pretty sure I had a breakdown just about every day. I was literally working from 8:00AM to about 11:00PM every day last week on these things (one time I stayed up tim 3:00)! But all the stress and work was totally worth it.

My biggest project that took practically all of my time was redoing Kyra's room. This was a complete suprise for her and we had a lot of fun doing it, but we also ran into a lot of obstacles. Here are the before pictures.

This is during the demolition. My friend Whitney was so kind enough to help me for this big project! First, it took us two hours just to get all of the closet down. Then we realized that behind the closet wasn't dry walled. So we decided to run up to the dump to get rid of all the wood, then go to Home Depot. Well after the long drive to the dump we got to Home Depot and realized that our tire was completely flat! So we went up to Les Schwab and had to wait for and hour and a half for them to put on a new tire. After that we went back to Home Depot and back to the house and (I am VERY proud of this) put the dry wall up ALL BY OURSELVES! I thought it was pretty impressive. So that pretty much took all day long. I thought the first day we would get closet torn out and everything painted...totally wrong.

By the way, we just about died a thousand times from that old ladder and bad use of power tools.

I absolutely love this room and how it turned out. You can't really tell how dramatic is was until you are actually in the room. My favorite is all the tree and stem paintings we did around the room. We used an overhead projector and drew them on first, then painted. It took a VERY long time. But well worth it.

She absolutely loved the transformation. And if she didn't I was going to have to switch rooms with her, because I loved it so much! I am glad we did it, and I am SO glad it is over.

Now, all the crafts I made for christmas and things I made to go in Ky's room.

This is my absolute favorite. I found it on a craft website. These are rose petals from the dollar store, and just some needle work rings. The whole thing cost me about $4.

Just a little bulletin board. I just used one of her cupboard doors from the closet we ripped down, and all the extra scraps of fabric from her bedspread.

She used to hang up all the cards I gave her, so I left this one up because her and Brett always make fun of me for putting THAKNS, instead of THANKS. I know, I am an idiot. But now it is an inside joke. Anytime we say thanks around this house, it is now pronounced (thank-ens).

This is on of my favorite things I made. Makenna is alway helping me in the kitchen, so I wanted to make her a little apron. She LOVED it and has been wearing it ever since she opened up the present.

Scripture covers. These were pretty easy and super cute. I got the idea from the church bookstore in Spokane. I saw one and thought I would attempt one myself. I want to make more now for Kyra. (Sorry, some of my pictures wouldn't turn the right way).

I made this for Brett because him and his brother and dad we able to go the a game for the world series and it literally made their life. I think he was happier about that than our marriage! They are huge giants fans. I printed pictures off the internet and took some things that he got while he was there. He loved it.

I made 3 quiet/sunday books for Makenna. Thank you to latter day chatter for all the great ideas on this on. There is a book on the prothet and apostles, a book on just gospel principles, and a book that summarizes the Book of Mormon. She LOVED them. She loves anything that has to do with church.

And that is all. I don't want to go near a sewing maching for at least 6 months! But really, it is so much more fun to give a gift that you put time and effort into. I had fun making my own HGTV makeovers!

I'm Finally Back!

I have been away from the blogging world for quite some time now. I am sure you have all been wondering what has been going on with the Fromms. Well, let me give you a quick little history of our past couple months.

In October we went to Leavenworth for a quick trip to visit cousins.

October 22 Makenna turned 11! She has actually grown up a lot this year. We had a fun birthday with her at our house. We had a quick little present and cake party, then went to my school carnival.

Makenna was on this big cowboy kick. All she wanted for her birthday was cowboy stuff. So this is what she got...Cowboy hat, shirt, and some cute wrangler jeans.

In November I decided to bake an apple pie for the FIRST time. I am not the best homemaker in any way, so this was a big step for me. Makenna is always my wonderful helper in the kitchen. So she and I had a fun time baking...and eating!

At the end of November we got quite the snow storm here in Spokane. I LOVED it (except of the 3 snow days we had to take) because now I have a car that can actually handle well in the snow.

Then for Thanksgiving we were able to go to Leavenworth again. It is always fun to spend time up there. Here is us playing in the snow.

Oops! Am I a horrible wife if I forgot to put up a post about my husband's birthday??? Well his birthday was October 5, so I am not too late. I had a lot of great plans for his birthday, all of which fell through. So while I was frustrated and upset on his birthday, he was just happy to spend a relaxing evening at home with the girls. Brett is such an amazing husband, friend, and father! Happy Birthday my love!

I have been too busy with school to update my blog lately, so these are pictures from a while ago, but I thought I would just add them anyway.

First off, here are the pictures of my two classes. The school year has been AMAZING so far. I have two wonderful classes of students. Things could not be going any better. Other teachers will talk to me about some of their trouble children and I almost feel guilty because my classes are so awesome. As you will notice, one of my classes as 18 boys! I don't know how I get stuck with all the boys, but I don't mind because they all have been pretty sweet so far. I am just so happy to be back in Kindergarten. I LOVE IT!

The next couple of pictures are from a stake achievement day activity that Makenna had a couple of weeks ago. We went up to Camp Easton and did some kayaking and just played around. I don't know if Makenna will want to go kayaking again any time soon. She got pretty frustrated that she couldn't control the kayak. The first picture is of her after she gave up and didn't want to move anymore. After that we just decided to go canoeing !

Even though it has seemed like she entered her teenage years long ago, Kyra finally turned 13 last week. She is such an incredible girl and I am so grateful to have the chance to watch her grow and mature into such a wonderful young women. For her birthday we thought it would be fun to throw her a surprise party. So for her actual birthday she probably thought it was pretty lame (we had to throw her off track a little). We took her to Polk A Dot Pottery and then just hung out at the house. Then this weekend we had her surprise party and she had a blast. These are all the pictures from her birthday.

So every year I drag the girls and Brett to a beautiful spot and make them smile at the camera for about an hour. The result are some awesome family pictures taken by my wonderful mother...and normally a fight of some sort between member of the family. I love taking family pictures because it is so fun to see how much the girls have grown in just a year! I know my mom already posted this like two weeks ago, so I am a little behind. Moanin For Motrin

That's what I was doing last weekend when I finished the Coeur d' Alene to Sandpoint Walk Relay Race! My BF Beth asked me to join her team to walk with her during her legs of the race. I thought, "Cool it will be fun to walk with Beth while we catch up." But it was way different than a leisurely walk with a friend. First of all, it was actually a race. So we were speed walking the WHOLE time (you got disqualified if you ran). It was so intense. There was not one part of my body that wasn't in pain. Beth and I did awesome though. We averaged about 12.5-13 minute miles. We had three legs and totalled about 15.5 miles! Our team won by a long shot. But we can't feel too good about it considering we were about 20 years younger than anyone else walking in the race. Here are some picture of our fun adventure. The race was a ton of fun and I can't wait to do it again next year. Maybe we will even try the Spokane to Sandpoint Run relay. It was pretty freaky though when you are walking at 2:30 in the morning on a dirt road in the forrest with animals howling around you. It was quite the adventure. Thanks Beth for inviting me to go.

Hats Off to Leavenworth

The girls and I were able to take a quick trip over to Leavenworth last week and we had such a great time. My mom and niece Madyson joined us for some nice relaxing and fun filled days. Going to see Gloria and Pat is always fun, but we also spent some time downtown, went swimming a lot, jumped on the trampoline A LOT, ate great food, and watched some interesting movies. I have a lot of pictures to show what a good time we had.

These pictures are from the Hat Shop in downtown Leavenworth. It is a famous shop that has a lot of crazy hats. Makenna and I had some fun modeling the hats for my mom.

The rest of the pictures are just the random things we did while visiting Leavenworth.

Believe it or not, Kyra did come on this trip with us, but you know how much she hates taking pictures! Oh well.

The main reason we went down to Leavenworth was to FINALLY put the grave marker in the ground for Annabelle. Brett came down Friday night and we put it in Saturday morning, then had to leave Saturday afternoon. Poor Brett only got a quick trip. It is weird that I am posting this? I hope not. Hopefully I don't offend anyone.

Summer Time Fun

There have been a lot of activities that have been going on this summer and I have been too busy to blog about them all. So I am doing one big blog about all of them!

Yay For Me!

Well I did it! I finally got a CONTINUING kindergarten position. This means that I dont ever have to interview for a job again. I don't ever have to worry about if I am going to have a job the following year. I don't ever have to teach in someone else's room again. I don't ever have to prepare for a classroom a week before school starts again. I am so excited. It is a full time job with two part time classrooms at Windsor Elementary. I just feel that Heavenly Father has blessed me so much in my life and knows what is best for me. I know that I wouldn't have get this if it wasn't for Him. The following picture is of me and my teaching friend Melissa and Rebecca. We went out to celebrate because Rebecca, who just graduated also got a job! Both of them a extremely amazing teachers and I am grateful that I got to work with them

Blasts from the Past

This summer I was able to get together with a couple friends from my single days and it was SO much fun. This is one of the best things about summer is having time to hang out with friends.

This is my friend Jen from my first year in college. We were next door neighbors in the dorms (for the one quarter I lived in them). We clicked right away. She is very religious as well so we were like the to naive girls in the dorm that stuck together. When we got together it was like we didn't miss a day apart. It was so much fun!

Of course one of my favorite people in the whole entire world...Sarah! She came back home for her nieces' blessing and it was so amazing to see her. I cant wait until the day you move back here Sarah!

Last is my life long best friend Jen (now Jen Martin but I still and probably always will refer to her as Jen Jolley). Jen, Beth, and I were roommates in college for about 4 years. I love these girls to death and I am so grateful for my friendship with them. Jen came up from California to run a 1/2 marathon (because she is amazing at working out and pushing herself to do cool things), so we decided to meet up and do a little boating. It was so much fun. I miss Jen so much and every time we get together it makes me miss the days when we lived in Sweet 8 and all the amazingly cool things that went on there.

The girls' aunt, who is also one of my friends, got married a couple weeks ago. Kyra and Makenna were in the wedding and they look absolutely adorable. Here are some pictures of how cute they looked.

One day I was able to take the girls to Silverwood and we had so much fun. Makenna was with a friend that day so she didnt come, but Kyra brought a friend and my niece Madyson went with us. The girls had a lot of fun, even though it was kind of cloudy weather.

So there you go all the activities you all have miss out on. Just a quick update on my summer goals:

1. Organize and clean out basement...Done, and it looks AWESOME.
2. Exercise at least 5 times a week...I am doing pretty good, although there were weeks when I was a little lazier than others.
3. Deep clean every room of the house....Oops, not yet, but it will definitely get done before school starts.
4. Make Brett dinner at least three times a week....Barley making this one, but hey it's summer and we are hot and not in the mood to cook or eat, so I am fine with this.
5. Get very tan.....yes, and loving it! Some of my favorite days are just laying in the sun!
6. Focus on my calling more....Check, I feel very good about this since I probably won't be this good starting September.
7. Get a job........YES!!!!! Yay for me. I can't wait to be a kindergarten teacher again!

On the Road Again

Brett and i just got back from a fabulous road trip to the mid-west. We went through 9 different states and saw some of Brett's old friends. The main reason for going down was to see some friends from Brett's mission. But my favorite part of the trip was all thr church history! Here are some collages of the different things we did.

The first stop we made was in Sterling, Illinois. Brett used to live in Illinois, so he had a couple friend there he wanted to see. They took us to Chicago, but we didn't have much time there. But we did get to go up the Sear's tower. In my opinion, it wasn't worth the TWO HOUR wait to get up there. But we did get some pretty good pictures.

Our next stop was Nauvoo, Illinois. This was absolutely amazing. We were there for the pagent that they do, and they really make you feel like you were in the time of the early Saints. We went to Carthage this day as well and that was probaby my favorite. All the missionaries there do such a great job of setting everything up spiritually before you learn anything. This was my favorite day of the trip.

After Nauvoo, we went over to St. Louis, Missouri to see a friend from Brett's mission. We were able to go see the famous Arch and visit the temple. It was fun to hang out with Brett's friend as well!

On our way home we stopped at Independence, Missouri to see the Visitor's center and Liberty, Missouri to see Liberty Jail. This was probably the most meaningful day. The spirit at Liberty Jail was so amazing. It really puts into perspective what Joseph went through for our gospel. I was amazed and overcome with gratitude for the sacrifices for the early Saints!

It was a great trip and I highly recommend to everyone to one day visit those sights.

We had a pretty laid back father's day. We gave Brett presents in the morning after his favorite breakfast. Then after church we had a nice family dinner. He deserves a lot more because he is such an amazing father to these two girls. They just absolutely adore him. I look up to him as a parent because he always makes very wise choices and knows how to handle things amazingly when it comes to the girls. We love you babe! Happy Father's Day.

Saturday was a very eventful day for us. Makenna and her friend Tarryn wanted to do a lemonade stand. They went all day long and actually did really well. They started off at Tarryn's house and made about $14 there. Then they moved it to our house later that afternoon and made about $12 more. This is a pretty good idea for a summer job for little kids. With two cute girls standing on the street selling lemonade, you would be crazy not to stop!

On Saturday we also went on a little hike at Beacon Hill (otherwise known as Brett's second home). Kyra missed her hike for girl's camp, so we took her on one. Of course, Brett wanted to bring along his bike and ride around as we hiked. He ditched it for a bit, but it was also fun for him to show off for Kyra.

Brett and I went for a walk through River Park Square. It was fun to be able to spend some time together on such a warm beautiful day. Walkking down to the falls is one of our favorite things to do for a date night! Here are a couple pictures of us on our walk.

This has been a very busy week, filled with graduations, end of school, brdial showers, baby showers, and a bbq! I am just glad it is all over an now I can relax. I am so excited for summer to actually get things done around the house. Some goals I have for the summer:

1. Organize and clean out the basement
2. Exercise at least 5 times a week
3. Deep clean every room of the house
4. Try to make my husband dinner, at least 3 times a week
5. Get very tan!
6. Be more focused on my calling at church
7. Get a job by the time school starts

I will have to let you in on the progress of all these goals.

The first graduation we had this past week was Kyra's 6th grade graduation. She is such a smart kid, it just amazes me. She had a perfect report card and got too many awards to even mention. I wish that I could have been half as samrt and cool as her when I was 12. I was unable to attend her graduation...hence, you will only be getting one picture from Brett's phone! WAY TO GO KYRA! I love that girl so much.

The next big event this week...my last day of school! I have been so stressed for the past two weeks trying to get grading done, report cards in, portfolio's made, end of the year parties, awards, the list goes on and on. The end of the year went by so fast, but I am grateful for a break. The last day felt too rushed and I can already tell and I am going to miss my kids a lot! Some of the boys (my class was mostly boys...18) were getting really sad and didn't want to leave. It was a little emotional, but also fun.

The other graduation that was going on was my brother's high school graduation. Logan is the last kid to graduate in the Cunningham family and we are all so proud of him. He is such a stud and I love him to death! I had to miss Ky's graduation to go to his, so you will get to see a lot more pictures of him than Kyra!

The Most Marvelous Mother

I know this post is about two weeks late, but I just want to let everyone know how much I love my mother. If I had to pick only a couple words to describe her I would say patient, selfless, and amazing! Just a couple really cool things about her: As a child she would always make sure that our hair was done really nice before we went anywhere (which I probably didn't care about then, but not as a semi-parent I think it is awesome). She would always have a delicous homemade dinner for us when we got home from school or sports practice. She earned her Young Womens Recognition when she served in the Young Womens because she converted in her late teens and didn't get a chance. She is an amazing photographer. She comes into my class every Friday to help me with the arts and crafts, plus she is like our classroom photographer! I love you so much mom. Thanks for being so wonderful!

Our Sweet Annabelle

Our precious baby was finally able to go back to our Heavenly Father this past weekend. We think that she passed away Thursday, April 27. I delivered on Saturday, May 1st at 1:03 pm. She weighed 1 pound 11 oz and was 13.2 inches long. I was 34 weeks pregnants and the ultrasound tech said that she was measuring 24 weeks and 5 days. The docotor and nurses said that they have never seen everything go so smoothly. This was honestly the most amazing experience I have ever been through. As soon as she was delivered I felt so happy and peaceful. We are so grateful for all the blessings that came with this trial so we just wanted to share a few thoughts with you.
We feel so privileged and grateful to have been able to go through this experience with our daughter Annabelle. We truly feel as though we have been prepared for this for months through prayer to our Heavenly Father. We know that He is the reason we are able to deal with this so well. He has continued to give us strength and comfort from the first sign of something being wrong up to today. Something else that makes this experience less painful is knowing that we will be able to be with our daughter again. We do not look at this as a loss, rather a short delay to the happiness of being together one day. So many good things have come from something that seemed so devastating: we have received much love and support from friends and family; prayers, thoughts and service towards us has been an overwhelming blessing; and we get to see the good in all the people around us. We thank each and every one of you for giving us that blessing.
We know that Heavenly Father will not test us beyond that which we can handle. He knows us so very well. When we put our trust and faith in Him, He blesses us. We are grateful for the experience to grow closer to our Heavenly Father and to our friends and family.

Brett's New Love Affair

It's all he thinks about, talks about, dreams about, and does...Mountain Biking! I am so glad that Brett has found a new hobbie, but if I ever want to see him again it looks like I am going to have to take up mountain biking as well. I was able to go out with him last Friday and get some good pictures. The biking part of it looked really fun, but hiking up the VERY steep hill to get to the top was not so much fun. This week was spring break for me and it was so nice to get a break from school! On Wednesday my mom, my sister Melanie, and my two nieces Madyson and Kylah, and I went to go visit Kimberly in Wenatchee. We had such a fun time with each other. We took a walk, played at the park, played games, had facials, decorated easter eggs, and watched movies. As always Kimberly was a great host and cooked us some amazing food. The only thing missing was our sister Whitney. But it was so great to have a little girls day!

The Best Two Years

Well, I have never served a mission so I can honestly say this has been the best two years of my life. Brett and I just celebrated our two year anniversary on March 22! Every year we take turns with who is going to be in charge of our anniversary and who is going to be in charge of Valentines, because they are so close to each other. This year Brett was in charge of our anniversary and he did a great job. He started the day with a candlelight breakfast, which was so fun. Then when we got home from work he took me on a picnic at the park. He made a slideshow on his compture to present his gift to me. It was SO cute. I honestly don't know how I got so lucky. What other guy would willingly do my laundry every week, make our bed every morning, cuddle with me every morning and night (even though it means he can't sleep), write me cute emails all day long, open my door every time we get in a car, watch all the corny annoying shows with me (like 90210 and dancing with the stars), and happily listen to me complain about being fat and not being able to fit into anything, then afterwards telling me that I am beautiful and skinny. I love him so much and am so excited for the rest of eternity with him!

I just needed to give a little shout out to my amazing husband. He does such a great job of trying to make me happy. Yesterday was my birthday and he did everything he could to make it the best day for me. First of all he puts so much time and thought into the presents he gets me. Then he does little sweet things all day to make me feel so special. He is an amazing support and such a joy in my life. I am so grateful to have this handsome guy as my eternal companion.

I was very suprised this morning with a Princess Birthday party put on by my friends and family! I was so shocked (obvisouly because I hadn't showered or had any makeup on, so pretty much looked disgusting) and so happy to see all my family and friends from church. We took a princess quiz, which I failed but my sister Melanie won only missing one questions. Then he played kiss the frog on the lips! What a fun idea. I am so grateful for friends and family and everything they do for me. Thank you so much to all of you who had a part in it.

Good News and Bad News

Well we have received a lot of news lately about the baby. I will start with the good news because that is what we are trying to focus on. The really good news is that Brett and I were very blessed to be able to make a baby and allow a sweet spirit from heaven to recieve a body. We have been blessed with a very supportive family and set of friend and we have very much felt their love and prayers the past month. Now for the bad news...Last month we found out the our baby had triploidy. This is a disease where the baby gets and extra set of chromosomes. So instead of having 46, our baby has 69 chromosomes. Because of this our sweet baby's brain did not develop properly, and also there are some complications with her heart. She is not developing at the rate that she needs to because her nervous system is not working properly. So all that said, I am still pregnant, but we don't know how long exactly I will be. The doctor said I could miscarry any time, or I could carry to full term and she will be a stillborn. Yes this is extremely sad new, but right from the first sign that something could be wrong we have been praying like CRAZY. Heavenly Father has comforted us so much. I don't know how I could have gotten through any of this without His comfort and the prayers from others. I am so grateful to Heavenly Father for answering our prayers.

I'm telling this now because really only a lot of my close friends know, and it is hard to keep pretending that everything is ok. So we will just keep going day to day to see how the baby is doing. One miraculous thing is that I can feel her moving all the time. It is my favorite thing ever. Every time I feel her kick I feel so happy and so connected to her. Even through this huge trial, we really do feel blessed in some way from this. It has really given me and Brett a chance to grow closer, we have see the love and support from our family and friends, and we have seen our relationship with Heavenly Father grow even stronger. We figure right now that we know something bad is going to happen, but everything right now is just fine, so we are trying to stay positive.

Time for a pregnancy update

I thought I should post some pictures of the progression of my belly. Now, to you it may not seem that I am growing too much. However, I am getting very excited because I can definitely tell every day that I am getting bigger and bigger. It is getting harder for me to fit into my jeans, so at least that is one sign. I think I am supposed to be at 21 weeks this week. I get to go in tomorrow for the big ultrasound. Hopefully the baby will be moving around a lot so we can see what it is. I will keep you posted!

Another School Stroy...Except Not So Cute

Well I just had to share this story that happened today because it made me SO MAD. This story may be some boring to some so you might just want to pass it by. But it just is an example of how rude some people can be. So I had just moved my room around and needed and new phone port activated for where my desk currently is. I put in a work order a week ago and the technology guy finally comes in today! The guy come in while I am in the middle of teaching at the carpet and starts moving stuff around right by the kids. I told him where the port was so he would stop distracting my kids. Then he starts doing some measuring and says to me, "This is more than 10 feet from your desk, I can't do it." Now I knew it was a fire hazard if you have a cord more than 10 feet. But it was literally 10 feet and 10 inches away from the port! 10 freaking inches! So I just said ok I would move it tonight and he said he would be back in the morning.
Well today I had sent in another work order because my computer would not let me log in at all. So I asked him if he could just take a quick look at my computer to see if he could get me logged in. He looks at me and says, "I'll look at your computer when your desk is moved where it needs to be." UGH! That just made me mad! I was going to be nice about it and really move my desk to be legal, but now to show him what a jerk he is and I don't really care what he says, this is what I did.....

Teaching Moment

So I have to admit that this year of teaching has not been the best. Sometimes I feel that I am having a difficult time getting into the groove of teaching 1st grade. I think it is just because I miss kindergarten sssoooooo much. However, there are little moments throughout the day that make me so happy to be a teacher. I am going to tell you a story about one of these moments. I was bringing my kids down to get their lunch. A cute little kindergarten girl walks by my boys and tells one of them, "Get a chocolate milk for lunch." This boy says, "Ok, I will." I smiled at the boy and asked, "William, do you do everything girls tell you to do?" And he just says to me, "Yeah, that is what you are supposed to do." Then other boys in the front of the line chime in with comments like, "I always listen to what my girlfriend tells me to do," and, "I will always do what girls tell me to do." I just started laughing so hard. I couldn't believe all these little boys. I just told them to keep that in mind for when they get older! Being around kids is so much fun. Some of the things that come out of their mouths are amazing and it is fun to be a part of that every day.

We had a great Christmas day! The girls woke up around 6:30 despite Brett's attempts to make them sleep in by setting all the clocking back by any hour in the house. But honestly, we couldn't sleep either. They loved all their presents and spent literally ALL day playing on them. Our family present was Rock Band and it has been so much fun. Later during the night my family came over to eat and we had a lot of laughs with my mom and aunt Cheryl trying to play it. It was great to be able to spend a day with family and have fun. Hope everyone else had a fantastic Christmas!

My Free Time

If I have had any free time the last couple of months, it has all been spent on these balnkets. Kyra asked for a quilt for Christmas which I thought was out of the question because I have never made one before. But I decided to give it a try anyway. I let Kenna in on the secret and when I saw her excitment about how the quilt was looking, I decided to make her one. So these are my first attempts at quilting (besided your baby one Jen, that was in the middle of me making these). You can definitely tell I didn't know what I was doing in some areas, but over all I think they turned out really cute. Hopefully the girls will be excited with what they get! The pink and red one is Makenna's and the blue and green one is Kyra's.

Pregnancy Updates!

I know have been really bad at this lately, but I thought I would try to do all my updates in one. First of all, some of you may be thinking that I am not really excited about my pregnancy because I don't ever write about it. Don't worry this is not true at all. I honestly just haven't had any time to write anything about it. Last week I had the opportunity to hear the heart beat for the first time and it was sooooo cool. It made things feel a lot more real. I was nervous at first because my doctor could not find it for quite a while, but finally he did and it was a good strong heart beat. So everything is looking great! I am putting up a couple of pictures of the progression of my tummy. Not that you will be able to tell that much is going on.

Reasons to be Thankful

There are so many things that I have to be thankful for this year. I feel like year adter year I am getting more and more blessed with great things in my life. I have a wonderful husband, a supportive family, a fantastic job, a car that runs, and a nice house.
This thanksgiving Brett and I had the privelge of going to Leavenworth to spend time with his parents. It was so GREAT to see them and just to be back in Leavenworth. We had a couple of very relaxing days and ate a lot of yummy food. Of course we went out for the Black Friday sales and had a ton of fun shopping. One of my favorite parts though was that my wonderful husband took me to see New Moon. Even though he was hating it the whole time, it was so sweet of him to take me. Although, I don't know if we will go to another movie any time soon. It was probably the most expensive date we have ever been on. I didn't know it cost $10 just to get in! My goodness. Anyway, the trip was awesome but it is good to be home.

I have been wanting to take fall family pictures for quite a while. But with this every other week schedule with the girls, it got pretty hard to find the time. But tonight we were able to go to Coeur d' Alene to see my family for an early Thanksgiving dinner. My mom took our pictures at Tubb's Hill. These are just a couple shots. She took a lot more great ones. But the girls were GREAT about it the whole time which made me very happy. Even though I didn't get the pretty fall leaves in the pictures, they still turned out pretty good. After the photo session, we got to go to my aunts house for some yummy thanksgiving dinner. It was so good to just be around family. I love my family so much and am so grateful for them.

I have been thinking lately about thanks and Brett and I have been talking about it a lot. We reazlied that when we find something to be thankful for in ALL things, we are much happier people. It is such an easy thing to do, and probably something we forget to do too often. I have so many things in my life to be grateful for, way to many to list. But to start I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ, for my husband, for how great the girls can be, for my job, and that my car is still running!

We are both extremely excited, but I am probably a litte more nervous than he is. Besides being completely exhausted all the time, I am feeling pretty good. I should be due around June 16 (one week after school gets out). Let's see if I can make it the whole school year. Anyway, yay for us!!!

I feel like I haven't even looked on my blog for a month. I'm sorry I turned into such a bad blogger. Life has gotten way too crazy with work, church, and the girls' sports. Brett and I literally do not have one free night of the week. So this is what my life has been like lately.

Monday: Basketball games for both girls

Tuesday: Basketball practice for both girls

Wednesday: Picking girls up to bring to mutual and bringing them back home.

Thursday: We have the girls staying over this night. This is our one night we get to stay at home.

Friday: Basketball practice for both the girls

Saturday: Basketball games for Kyra.

So, holy moly I just need a break. It was nice today to have a day off (Veteran's Day).

But anyway, I will try to do better from now on.

Brett Turns 33!

I know I am about a week late on this blog, but at least I am doing one, right? Brett turned 33 on October 5. I know it is hard to believe he is that old, but it is true. Unlike me, he is not one to celebrate brithdays in a big way. He wouldn't even care if I just gave him a card and that was it. However, that is not my style. But because I love my husband so much I tried to keep it as low key as possible. I cooked him his favorite meal, gave him lots of good presents, and then we watched a movie. But I do have to take a minute and tell you why I have the most amazing husband. He is a very selfless, loving, and caring person. He somehow NEVER manages to get mad at me. He is quick to help those who are in need. He is a great father. He is a great helper around the house. And most important, he is wonderful to look at. I am so grateful for him for so many thing and am excited for our future together. Happy Birthday Babe! PS. I hope everyone enjoys this little slide show of his life!

Although it seems like she is a lot older, Kyra turned 12 on September 11th. She had a a fun sleep over with her good friend Kristin. And of course, Makenna got to invite over Taryn to keep her busy through out the year. They played capture the flag, went on a scavenger hunt, got sprayed by a lot of water, and had some delicious cake and ice cream. She is having her real birthday party this weekend at Triple Play (I know she is a little spoiled). But is has been so fun to see her grow up this past week. Of course turning twelve she now is out of Primary and into Young Womens and she can't be happier about that. We got to go to the temple with her for the first time with her this weekend. It was so great. Her grandma Cindy also got to come along and it was just so amazing to see her go through this all for the first time. We are so proud of Kyra!

My New Job

So to say that I have been busy lately would be an understatement. Brett probably feels like he is married to a zombie right now because I will literally come home, take a bath, and go to bed. I forget how exhausting the beginning of school is. But I thought that I would post some photos of what I had to deal with when I was hired for this position. I took over for a lady who had been teaching for about 34 years, and I don't think she ever threw away anything! I walked into the room and had a little bit of a panic attach because I am a very organized person who likes open space. So you will get to see the transformation of my classroom!

It's Been A While

It seems like it has been forever since I have updated my blog! Honestly there wasn't much to blog about in my life for the first part of August, then the second part things got a little crazy. I had the great opportunity of going to Hawaii with my family to visit Melanie and the girls. I had an AMAZING time. This was my first time to Hawaii and I was not let down. The only bad thing is that Brett was not able to go with me. But we had fun speding time on the beach, doing a lot of hiking, and some shopping. I tried to break up my pictures into beach days and hiking days.
The day after I got back from Hawaii I had a job interview at Windsor Elementary. I was called back that day and told that I was hired! This is very exciting but also SO STRESSFULL! I was hired a week before school started in a first grade classroom. It is still only a one year position again, but I am just grateful for a job right now. I will post more pictures about that later.

Older Than Dirt...90 Years and Counting

That was the theme for the Fromm Family reunion this past weekend. It was in Leavenworth and it was so much fun. We had barn dancing, service projects, a parade, water balloon fight, an auction, and a talent show. Makenna and I did a little skit for the talent show and it turned out really cute. It was great to be with Brett's family and I met a lot of people that were really nice and it was good to get to know them.

Pros and Cons

So there are definitely pros and cons of me not working during the summer time. The cons are that I do not get to teach sweet little kids every day that make me so happy. Also, sometimes I feel a little guilty as Brett is leaving for work and I am still laying in bed asleep. However, there are many pros to out wiegh these cons. For example, today I got to spend a great day at the beach with my mom, aunts, and sister. You can't beat laying in the sun while chatting with some of your best friends!

Brett and I were fortunate enough to be able to go to the Coldplay concert and the Gorge this past weekend. Brett absolutely loves Chris Martin. He is a great entertainer and absolutely crazy during his concerts. We had a great time. We also met his brother, Jimmy, up there with one of his friends. I would have put a video on here, but I still can't figure that out.

Summer Work

Well some of you might be wondering, what in the world does Stephanie do during the summer time to keep herself busy? Don't you worry, because I made a summer list of things to do. Most of the items on this list included many things that I neglected to do during the school year because I was way too busy. But I had to share some of my favorite projects so far.

So when we moved into this wonderful old house, this piece of poorly put together book shelf came with it. As you can see they decided that they should line it with chicken coop wire for some reason. I thought that we would bring it to the dump immediately, but it ended up that we just kept putting more and more stuff in it. So I decided that if we were going to keep it there, I might as well make it look somewhat descent. I painted it and got rid of the wire. I like it much better.

Next was our HORRIBLY colored bedroom. I have hated this bedroom since the day I moved in. I don't know what the previous owners were thinking with the ceiling color and border. And believe me, these pictures do not even do this room justice to how utterly ugly it really is. I finally convinced Brett that we should paint it and I absolutely love my new room. It is so much more bright and refreshing. The after pictures are first on this one.

This week the girls are off the Camp Reed up by Newport. We just dropped them off today and they were both so excited. This is Makenna's first time, and Kyra's second time going. Happy 4th of July

I don't really have many pictures of the 4th because both the girls were sick ALL day long. I felt so bad for them. But we still did manage to have fun. My family came over to our house for a BBQ (you can look on my mom's blog for those pics) and then we went down to the park with Kim and Ben to watch the fireworks. Yes, this is what I woke up to Saturday morning. My lovely step daughter Kyra woke up early on Saturday and had nothing to do. So what else do 11 year olds do when they are bored? That is right, she decided to make me breakfast in bed! Can you believe it? Life just gets better and better every day with these girls and I am absolutley loving it. We love Jen and Joel! They always call us to do fun things and this Friday they wanted to have a picnic in the park. We had a great time with them there eating, talking, and playing a little football. But I think our favorite was going to the Hannah Montana movie the next day with them. The Next Tiger Woods

Ok, not really even close. But I have been way into golf lately. It started when Brett got the Tiger Woods video game and I played one round with them. Now I will have you know that I absolutely HATE video games. It was quite the struggle for him to even get a play station into our house. In the six months that we have had it this is the first time that I actually played a game with him, and when I did....I LOVED IT. If I didn't think video games were an absolute complete waste of time I would play it more often. However, since I played with him I have been interested in watching all the tournaments and have really wanted to go golfing. Well this Saturday we finally went to a driving range. I foun out that golfing is SO much harder in real life than in video games. But I did still love it and can't wait to go again. Not to mention that we played around on a putting green and I beat Brett 3-2! Mom you can tell Logan to take me out now!

I had the wonderful opportunity of going to Kailee Gross' wedding last weekend and it was absolutely amazing. It was the first sealing that I had been to since Brett and I got married so it was really cool to be there and have a different persepective on it. I don't really remember anything from my sealing except when I said "I do." But it was also really cool to be there to see this amazing couple and the love that they had for one another. I am so proud of Kailee and how far she has come. She is such and example to me and I am so grateful I was able to be there for her. The sun was very bright that day so I didn't get the best pictures, sorry. But believe me she was a beautiful bride!

Summer Entertainment

Brett and I decided that since the girls did such a great job in school this year and because they are such great kids, we needed to rewared them in some way. So we looked on craigslist for about a month, until last Monday when we found one! The girls knew they were getting a suprise but they didn't know what it was. So it was really exciting when they came home today. We probably jumped on in it for about 3 hours tonight. Hopefully this will keep the girls busy enough this summer.

Don't mind Jimmy's 1870's van that has been sitting in the back of our house for about a month.
