Easter Weekend

This weekend we were able to go to Leavenworth to see Brett's parents for Easter. Gloria does this huge easter hunt for all the grandkids every year up in the mountains. We actually had to miss it because of a couple soccer games Saturday morning, but she made a special one just for the girls in her yard. Then we went up on the mountin for a little scavenger hunt. It was so much fun! It is always so great going to see Gloria. She is such a wonderful mother in law. I am so grateful to have her in my life.
I tried my hardest to get some good pictures of Kyra. However, as you can see from her face when she was actually looking at the camera, she was not having any of it. But I tried to sneak some in. I like the one of her looking at the flower. Anyway is was a great weekend. Thanks Gloria.

Welcome to the Worst Day of my Life

So Brett and I were finally able to go skiing a couple of weekends ago (these were the tickets that I bought for our anniversary). It was absolutely the most miserable and frustrating day of my life. I have been skiing before about two times before this, and I thought I had done a good job. But the bottom line is I AM NOT A GOOD SKIER! I was on the ground about 90% of the time. I felt so bad for Brett for having to be around me because he is such a good skier. I finally quit after about three hours of falling down. The next day my body hurt so bad, I could barely move. So don't be fooled by the smile on my face in these pictures, I HATED it. Maybe I will try snowboarding.

Out With the Old, In With the New

We have live in our house for over a year now and we have done quite a bit of work on it. I've painted the living room, dinning room, Kyra's room, and the kitchen. Makenna has been asking for her room to be redone for quite a long time. I kept telling her that once she kept her room clean for a certain period of time, then we would do her room. Well I finally had time over spring break, so I decided that it was finally time. I wanted to suprise Makenna though, so I had a lot of help from Kyra to figure out what I should do with the room. I think before we moved in it was a baby's room. It was yellow and green with a fabric border and the ABC's all over the wall. So with the help of my friends Cindy and Beth, we made it into a cute girly room. Makenna was so excited when she saw it. She couldn't stop jumping up and down and dancing all over the place. She just wanted to spend the whole day in her room.

Before Pictures
I realized half way through me taking apart her room, that maybe I should do before/after pictures. That is why the room looks like this.
