I'm Finally Posting Again!

Well I have had quite a busy life since the end of the summer. And you will read all about it in these next couple of blog posts. But I finally had time to sit down and relax so I decided to make a few posts. The month of September has been very busy with activities, jobs, sports, and birthdays. Melanie, Logan, Ben, Kyra, and Aunt Cheryl all have their birthday's in September. We got together as a family on Sunday to celebrate them all. It was really fun to have everyone together again. Below are a couple pics.

I will just give you a little update on what is going on in our lives since I never have time to talk to anyone on the phone anymore. Brett is still working at People to People and that keeps him busy enough. He has been an AMAZING help around the house. Ever since I started working full time I have not been the best house wife. Cleaning the house and doing dishes and laundry is the last thing on my mind now. So Brett is very good at picking up my slack. I couldn't ask for a better and more supportive husband.
The girls are back in school and soccer. And now Makenna added gymnastics to her list of activities. They are very busy girls and we are always grateful when we get to see and spend time with them.
I am staying very busy with my new Kindergarten classes but loving every minute of it. Right now I feel like we have so much to be grateful for in our lives. I love my family and friends so much!

Me and Kylah at Aunt Cheryl's house. As you can tell, Kylah just got done playing with some make up.

Another wonderful picture of those beautiful Cunningham girls.

All the birthday people. Happy birthday to you all!

Me and my wonderful husband Brett. We even color coordinate and everything.

This is me and Brett at the Phil Vasser concert. We went with Beth and Wes and it was a lot of fun. I love Phil Vasser. I can't find the picture of Beth and Wes though, sorry guys.

Sleep Over

Tonight Madyson and Kylah came over to have a sleep over with Kyra and Makenna. They had a lot of fun. Of course Kylah was busy playing dress up and getting into all of Makenna's things. Here are a couple pictures from their night together.

Kyra Turns Eleven

Kyra turned 11 on September 11th. Hopefully she had a good birthday. We made her favorite dinner, opened presents and then surprised her by taking her and Makenna to a Raven concert. We had a lot of fun. Kenna and I were dancing the whole time. Kyra and Makenna rushed the stage of couple of times. It was really fun because there were so many screaming girls around us going crazy. Raven was actually a very good entertainer.

Blowing out candles on her cake. I made a Texas sheet cake, my first time. It was yummy!

Opening up some presents. This one was from Makenna (a Taylor Swift shirt). Makenna looks more excited than Kyra.
This present was a knitting book from Grandma Gloria. She loved it.

Makenna and Ky at the concert

Makenna and Brett at the concert. The picture of Ky and Brett turned out really blurry :(

Soccer Time Once Again

Kyra and Makenna are in soccer again so our Saturdays are now filled with their soccer games. It's cute because girls at this age are still afraid to go after the ball or be aggressive toward to other team. But they both have improved so much. It is always fun to watch them play.

Makenna at goal.

Look at that great kick! Way to go Makenna.

Makenna and Brett after the game

Kyra getting ready for the ball

Look at her run! Kyra is good at any position she is put in, but she really likes being goalie. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of her there because my camera died.

I'm Finally a Teacher!

Well, most of you already know this, but I FINALLY got my own classroom. I am now a Kindergarten teacher in Cheney, WA at Betz Elementary. I do a job share with another teacher for a full time Kindergarten. This mean that we both work half time for one class. Then I have my own half time classroom as well. One class is absolutely amazing and one is just about as bad as it can get. So I will have a very busy year.Me on my first day of school. I made Brett take my pictures.

Another Visit to Grandmas

We were able to take another trip to Leavenworth at the end of the summer. Brett planned a high adventure with his scouts and hiked all around the mountains of Leavenworth. The girls and I got to stay at Gloria's and have some fun.

We went down to the river by the Fromm's property. It was freezing cold. But the girls still wanted to go in. Brett and I ended up going in too because Makenna wouldn't get in with out us. But here are a couple of pictures of them at the river.

Here is Kyra and Makenna eating some of the good vegetables from grandma's garden. Yummy!

Makenna and Kyra on the trampoline again.

Oh How Our Garden Grows

This was my first year growing a garden and I am very proud of my work. I really had no idea what I was doing, but there were some vegetables that turned out ok. I took this picture at the beginning of August, so the corn looks a lot different right now. But they are still not as big as they should be. I planted pumpkins, watermelon, corn, cucumbers, and lettuce. The cucumbers did really well, but the watermelons not so much.

This was the first pumpkin that started growing. I have about 6 more now that are coming in, but this is the biggest so far.
This is what it looked like at the beginning of the summer. I was just so excited that green stuff was actually popping out of the ground.
