Brett and Steph Take a Trip to Europe

Another People to People trip! Brett and I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Holland with People to People to work a sports program in Haarlem. We went last year as well but this year was much better. We had some time to go out and visit some places and eat their delicious cuisine. Haha. Iactually I could barley eat anything there but french fries. But we did have a lot of fun. We had one day off together where we went on a bike ride, went to a cheese factory and wooden shoe factory, went on a canal cruise, visited the Ann Frank House (actually just snuck in the gift shop to by Kyra a gift) and just tour down town Amsterdam for a while. I was a great day. The whole trip was pretty amazing. It is always good to expereince other people's cultures and it definitely always makes you appreciate what we have here in America! Here is Brett by the country side on our bike ride. This was tons of fun. These are the type of bikes that EVERYONE rides around there. Pretty styleish!

Just me one the bike.

This is me and Brett with a bunch of kids from a European team. They just joined our picture. This was at the athlete's disco. I know you are loving are bright orange shirts.

We got to go to the beach one day. We only spent about 15 minutes there, but it was fun. There were definitely a lot of girl with out tops on and guys in speedos.

This was at a little street market we went to towards the end of the trip. I got some pretty cute shoes and brett got a belt.

This was one of our first nights in Amersterdam. I was already craving American food. It was probably one of the best meals I had while I was there.

These are the wonderful girls that I worked with in the Parent Booth the whole time. We had a lot of good times in the booth listening to our Netherlands mix and playing Nutz, and occasionally there would be some parents come in to help. That's Jen Komski on the left and Marnae in the middle.

Steph Goes to the East Coast

At the beginning of the summer I got the privilege of going on a Student Leadership Summit through People to People (Brett's work). I got sent to Baltimore, Maryland and I had so much fun. We stayed at Johns Hopkins University and then we got to go on day trip to different places like D.C., Annapolis, Philidelphia, and the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. My favorite part of the trip was going to D.C. There were so many cool memorials and monuments to see. It was just too bad that we didn't have more time in the city. The program was really great though and I was grateful to be a part of it. It was really good to learn so much about the history of our country. Here are just a couple picture from some of the places we went.
These are some of the girls I got to work with while I was in Balitmore. It's Michele, me, Corrine, and Robyn. I had a lot of fun with them.

Me and Corrine infront of the Washington Monument
This is by the Vietnam Memorial. It was pretty amazing Too bad Abe's head was cut off in this pic.
We briefly got to see the White House. It's actually much smaller than you would think
These were all statues of guys that signed the declaration of Independence. It was actually kind of wierd because anywhere you would turn there would be a statue and you would think that it was real for a second. This was in Phili.

A Trip to Leavenworth

We all took a trip down to Leavenworth to suprise Pat (Brett's dad) for Father's Day. Jimmy even flew up from Utah to drive over with us. We had a lot of fun, as we usually do. We relaxed a lot, rode four wheelers, jumped on the trampoline, and ate a lot of Gloria's delicous food. It was a great trip. I love going to Leavenworth because it is so beautiful, and it is always nice to see family.

We did a lot of jumping on the trampoline while we were there. The girls learned some new tricks.

We're Finally Bloggers

So after a lot of nagging from my mom I finally got around to making a blog for me and Brett. I am actually really excited for this. I liked looking at all of my friends so much that I figured this would be a good way for me to stay somewhat in touch with everyone. So I decided to start with mine and Brett's wedding and go from there. Hope you all enjoy!

Our Wedding, March 22, 2008

I got married to my wonderful love on a beautiful sunny day on March 22, 2008! We were actually very lucky because the day before our wedding there was a huge snow storm. That all melted by the end of the day. Then the day after our wedding it was rainy and miserable all day. So we were very fortunate with a crisp sunny day.

We were married in the Spokane Washington LDS Temple. We had such a wonderful day because of all the friends and family that joined us. Brett's favorite companion from Oklahoma flew us with his wife. This made Brett SO happy. I got to see a completely different side of Brett. It was really fun. I also had a lot of friends come from Kahlotus and it was so great to see them.

We are grateful for all the help we got from friends and family that made the wedding possible. We have now been married for 4 wonderful month and I can't wait for the rest of my life with Brett. It has been absolute bliss!

All of these beautiful pictures were taken by Messia, Brett's sister in law! The wonderful cake and cupcakes were made by Sarah Hendrickson.
